Bicep are proud ambassadors for Youth Music, a national charity investing in young people's lives through music, supporting grassroots organisations and breaking down barriers to access in the creative industries.
In 2023, Bicep were invited by the charity In Place of War, through their EarthSonic programme, to visit the Arctic Sounds Festival in Greenland. That experience became the foundation for Takkuuk – an immersive audio-visual installation created in collaboration with partners Zak Norman and Charlie Miller.
Takkuuk explores the lives, cultures, and challenges facing indigenous artists in the Arctic region, with a specially composed soundtrack produced by Bicep in collaboration with seven artists indigenous to the region. 50% of all royalties from Takkuuk will go directly to the indigenous artists featured, and the remaining 50% will be donated to In Place of War.
Bicep are also signatories of EarthPercent, the charity founded by Brian Eno to help the music industry take meaningful action in the fight against climate change by funding impactful climate solutions.
