This week on the FMB Mixtape Series, we welcome London-based producer MOY. As always, we first caught up with him to ask a bit about the mix & what he’s been up to recently…

My new EP “The Boötes Void” on AC Records, came out in September and looks to be doing well. I took advantage of all the spare time during the past 7 months to crack on with production and get a shed load of new projects out the door.

The mix was recorded at home using Ableton 10. I love mixing records live on the decks and will always play-out with vinyl, but I try to make mixes like these a bit more special. Using Ableton makes it possible to really push the boat out.

Throughout the global pandemic there has been a huge amount of amazing music written but nowhere for people to hear it. I wanted to use this mix as an opportunity to showcase and celebrate the freshest cuts from my favourite artists and labels. Apart from a few tracks that came out in the last week or so, the mix is unreleased / forthcoming gold.

My LP – “Dynamics Of Acid” – 9 bangers recorded over the last 7 years, will be out on Altered Sense before the end of the year.

I am starting a regular monthly show on Threads Radio in November, featuring an hour of belters plus special guest mixes from some very exciting names, and on top of all that I have a jam packed release schedule for 2021. Basically there is lots to look forward to!
